A dear client referred a friend years ago who had severe anxiety and panic about flying. She’d always had it – flew once or twice – but it was so bad she just stopped. But now it mattered.
She’d been offered the job of her dreams and she would have to travel worldwide. There were no good options – heavily medicate every time she flew, white-knuckel it and take her chances, or turn the down the job.
That’s when she came to me, determined and willing to try anything (other than heavy meds and white-knuckles).
We got to work and found the false belief underneath her anxiety – a traumatic childhood experience that had nothing to do with flying at all. We released it, shifted to what was actually true, anchored that, and unraveled a lifetime of fear she didn’t even know she was carrying.
Pretty amazing. And quick! Did I mention she was determined? 💪
A month or so later, I got a card from her letting me know she took the job – and a photo of her skydiving.
The joy on her face was priceless. She wasn’t just free-falling – she was FREE!
Here’s the thing – her fear was never really about flying. It was about a false belief she’d been carrying since childhood, running on auto-pilot in the background of her life. Sound familiar?
That’s exactly what we go after in the Return to Self™. The thing underneath the thing. Once that shifts, everything shifts.
