Forget resolutions that weigh you down with guilt—let’s celebrate all the ways you’ve grown, triumphed, and loved this past year. What if your New Year’s practice focused on honoring WHO YOU ARE instead of who you think you need to become? I’ll share how I do it (and a free guide to get you started!).
The picture above is my end-of-the-year practice I do on the eve of every New Year. (I’ve linked it below for you! 👇) Nope, it’s not about making lists of resolutions. Despite our best intentions, those tend to focus on negative aspects or failed goals we want to change, cluttering up an otherwise clean slate with shame and disappointment. It’s no wonder they don’t stick, right?
So I say, LET’S STOP THAT! 😊
Instead, maybe spend some time with a different kind of list – a list of all you accomplished, created, and healed in 2024, great and small.
Remember all the ways you were brave.
And kind.
The ways you took care of yourSelf.
The ways you showed up for others.
The challenges you triumphed.
The difference you made in even one person’s life – or many!
Maybe acknowledge yourSelf for the LIVING and LOVING you did, and for being a good human – even when it was hard.
Rather than sit down and make that list of all the things you need to change to be better, maybe take some time to acknowledge WHO YOU already ARE and everything you brought to this life in one short year. Then maybe resolve to do more of THAT! 👏
Maybe. 😉
Whatever you choose, I hope you have a happy New Year, my friend. May 2025 ignite your Soul with light, love, laughter and JOY – and above all else, may it be filled with grace.
